Location is excellent, close to subway and attractions. Staff could be friendlier; I felt uncomfortable with some individuals in the lobby.

Loved the location, super close to awesome shops and restaurants! The room was clean, and I totally digged the vintage photo booth. The bed was a bit weird with those two mattresses kinda being bumpy in the middle. the staff was super friendly, especially the woman who helped me when I had issues with my reservation.

I chose Freehand for its proximity to the Shedd Aquarium and was pleasantly surprised by the approachable staff's recommendations for exploring the city. The ingenious cocktails at Broken Shaker Café were a delightful highlight, with a vast selection of exotic ingredients from around the world.
Unorganized bingo activity night.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms, comfortable beds, well-connected with public transport.

we stayed at Freehand and found the location to be great! it's right in the centre and we could walk to most places. the room was cozy and had everything we needed. the breakfast was simple but good, with plenty of choices for everyone. the staff were helpful and check-in and check-out was quick and easy. the hotel also had a small fitness gym, elevator, and free WiFi with excellent signal. we also appreciated the option to store our luggage after checkout until our departure.
Can't fault the property in any way 🙂

The location is fantastic, within walking distance to all attractions. The room had a cozy sofa and a comfortable bed. The decor is stylish and the cocktail bar downstairs is a highlight. We had a great time despite some minor flaws. I'd recommend this hotel.

Our stay at this centrally located hostel in Chicago was an adventure! The cool vibes and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The spacious room comfortably accommodated four of us, with plenty of sockets for charging devices. The daily cleaning and clean bathroom added to the positive experience. Being within walking distance of popular attractions, bars, restaurants, and supermarkets was a major plus. The bar and cafe in the hostel were great for socializing. a great value for money hostel experience for adventure travelers.
The common area, being a loud and dimly-lit bar open to the public, left little usable space for guests. This made it difficult to escape from noisy or unpleasant roommates.

clean rooms and great location - close to cafes - restaurants and bars as well as attractions and art exhibits. met cool people here. the staff was really helpful - making my stay even better.
